Customer Challenge

Over a period of fast-paced innovation, a number of application services had been developed and maintained on AWS by different service providers on independent AWS accounts, and with different operating models. This heterogenous set-up made it difficult to have full insight and control of, e.g., security requirements, compliance requirements, and costs. 

Aimo Park had set a strategic goal to consolidate ownership and governance of its cloud infrastructure and applications. Aimo Park sought a partner to drive this transformation and for immediate assistance architecting and executing the changes.  

A Managed Secure Cloud 

The Omegapoint AWS solution to consolidate and centralize governance, security, monitoring and cost control, follows the guidelines of the AWS Security Reference Architecture (AWS SRA) and is built around AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations. To meet security requirements, services such as AWS Security Hub, Amazon Macie, Amazon Inspector and Amazon Guard Duty are employed. Applications are segregated into AWS-accounts by workload and environment. AWS IAM Identity Center is used with a connection to Azure Active Directory for single sign-on and to govern access. 

Results and benefits 

Aimo Park now has complete control over its AWS environment. Aimo Park now has continuous monitoring of its cloud environment with respect to compliance and cost, with automated alarms in place for anomalies, misconfigurations, and unprivileged access. Omegapoint remains engaged as a strategic advisor and a technical partner.
